Mexican Californio Stories 〰️

The Pico & Yorba boys grew up at San Gabriel Mission where their fathers guarded the Fort with militant strictness tempered by a fierce loyalty to each other. As the young men came of age, Mexico won its independence from the viselike grip of Spain. The Mexican Supreme Government left the Californios largely on their own to develop their cattle ranches and raise large families. Pio Pico became governor. Andres Pico became general. Bernardo Yorba preferred tending his orchards and cattle on his Rancho Cañon de Santiago.

At the onset of the Mexican-American War, when he needed a place to hide, the last Mexican Governor of California Pío Pico found sanctuary at the home of his ride-or-die friend, Bernardo Yorba. Come to this free event to discover the hidden story of how Mexican Californios fought for their freedom.

Healing Ceremony

My sister Megan Budd-Reyes and I most enthusiastically welcome you to join is on a sacred journey of sisterhood.

Discover the Magick in the Mundane during the Season of the Witch. Meet your Spirit Guides (whether ancestral, land, crystal, animal, etc.) through musical trance. Through a somatic experience, we will release our burdens, giving up the stories, habits, thoughts, or people that must be shed this fall as the trees release their leaves to preserve their core strength for winter’s rest. We will integrate with Reiki and breathwork.

SoulCollage® Workshops

We all have the ability to learn from images. My SoulCollage® workshops are available both online and in person. We will begin with the philosophy of SoulCollage®, transpersonal work based on depth psychology and the power of imagery to discover your rich, inner life. Then we explore how our Neters, or aspects of ourselves, can speak directly to us through creating collages with only images. These cards will focus on one energy at a time. Workshops could be designed to create a card for our Inner Healer, Inner Wisdom, Inner Child, Happy Child, Worker, Balanced Self, Wild Self, or Self Love (see my card to the right), just to name a few!

We will also discuss how to continue and deepen your practice by creating a deck of SoulCollage® cards for each of the four suits: Committee (aspects of self), Community (people in your life), Council (personal Board of Directors or Archetypes) and Companion (animal guides for each chakra).

Soul Collage®: Discover Your Inner Wisdom

We are all have wisdom within. There is something each of us knows deep in our bones. In this workshop, we will work with imagery and playfulness to access this wisdom, this wild, wise self. We are all capable of accessing that inner knowing on the multi-cellular level so that we shine our Divine Essence brightly - wherever we go. We can connect with our wise ancestors in nature and the cosmos as a guide for following energetic flow, manifestation, and engaging in a conscious conversation with the natural world.

Our Inner Wisdom is an aspect of who we are, a facet of our being. In this workshop, we will create a collage card with the techniques of SoulCollage®, transpersonal work based on depth psychology and the power of imagery to discover your inner wisdom. All supplies will be provided, however if you have a magazine you want to bring, you are more than welcome to do so. This in person workshop will be held in my home and limited to 12 people.
