Mexican Perspecive of the Bear Flag Revolt
Presented at the XVIII Recovering the US Hispanic Literary Heritage/Association for Documentary Editing conference
The conference theme, Record Keepers of Nation: Diverse Foundational Figures and Documents of the US, highlights the intersection, conflicts and compromises of people, papers, voices, archives and biographies of first nations, natives, settlers, immigrants and exiles that have forged collective memory and national narratives. The conference will emphasize recovery, preservation and dissemination of the historical records of various communities that expand and unsettle our understanding of the nation’s foundation.
I will present in the session called Revolutionary Archives: War, Memory, and Counter-Foundations of the America, Moderated by John Morán González, University of Texas at Austin.

Sacred Sisterhood
Healing Ceremony
My sister Megan Budd-Reyes and I most enthusiastically welcome you to join is on a sacred journey of sisterhood.
Discover the Magick in the Mundane during the Season of the Witch. Meet your Spirit Guides (whether ancestral, land, crystal, animal, etc.) through musical trance. Through a somatic experience, we will release our burdens, giving up the stories, habits, thoughts, or people that must be shed this fall as the trees release their leaves to preserve their core strength for winter’s rest. We will integrate with Reiki and breathwork.
October 4, 10am-2pm
Orange, Ca

SoulCollage® Workshops
We all have the ability to learn from images. My SoulCollage® workshops are available both online and in person. We will begin with the philosophy of SoulCollage®, transpersonal work based on depth psychology and the power of imagery to discover your rich, inner life. Then we explore how our Neters, or aspects of ourselves, can speak directly to us through creating collages with only images. These cards will focus on one energy at a time. Workshops could be designed to create a card for our Inner Healer, Inner Wisdom, Inner Child, Happy Child, Worker, Balanced Self, Wild Self, or Self Love (see my card to the right), just to name a few!
We will also discuss how to continue and deepen your practice by creating a deck of SoulCollage® cards for each of the four suits: Committee (aspects of self), Community (people in your life), Council (personal Board of Directors or Archetypes) and Companion (animal guides for each chakra).
