To publish a book is to look inside your heart, describe what you see, feel, hear, taste, smell, and know, then share that with the world.

Signing The Book of Spells for Kimmy Tejasindhu, my editor at Ten Speed Press who came out to my book launch party at Copperfield Books with designer, Sara Weitzman. We made a good team!

I have been on both sides of the table at book signing events. Into the Yule season, I will be at several events as the author of my book baby: The Book of Spells: The Magick of Witchcraft. I am so blessed to serve all of Life, including crystals, plants, animals and humanity through creativity, and honesty with my Muse. And when the book baby is received well (5-star reviews on Amazon or someone nodding emphatically during one of my events), my vulnerability has paid off.

Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I love my gold stars and open hearts.

Sally Fields comes to mind. When she won the Oscar for best actress, her speech was filled with joy from the connection made through her art. "You like me, right now, you like me!"

Vulnerability is reaching out through courage (dive in deep into vulnerable lessons and research with Brené Brown, rockstar extraordinaire. I am vulnerable when I write and talk about being a Witch, Magick and the Divine Feminine, and a heavy dose of No Bullshit Motherhood. I believe in the power of Love. I believe we can find our heavenly garden here on Mother Earth, by tuning into the Wild Wombyn.

I was thinking of Sally Fields' monologue in Steel Magnolias and how strong we Mothers are, even or especially when we're crying in Dark Times and found this speech, cut by Fox News incidentally, where she declares, "Let's face it, if the Mothers Ruled the World, there would be do Godamn War in the first place!"

Let's be vulnerable today. Reach in and share your light with us.
